Possibly the finest player to don the SAFC jersey. Incredible agility and a great shot-stopper Kip could easily have played at a much higher level but was too modest to admit it. Even found time to score goals when given a run out up front. Fondly remembered for prefering to play with the sun in his eyes than wear a cap with no designer label on it. One of the founder members of the club, Cookie got the clubs finances sorted as Treasurer before becoming our first "proper" Chairman. Always gave 100% and would have run through a brick wall for the club. Played almost every position on the pitch through his career but was crap in goal as his famous shout of "watch this one wide" as a weak free-kick nestled inside the far post proved. A phenomenal striker able to finish superbly from any distance or angle. Memorably scored over 50 goals in one season but consistently scored tons of goals before a serious ankle injury forced him into semi-retirement. Became a ref for a season before returning and scoring a hat-trick in his first game back which sums him up. As his picture proves, he was also the clubs resident pie expert long before Iain Airey arrived at the club. Though his big build made him an easy target for opposition wind-ups, Shezza always had the last laugh as his quick feet and superb touch left them chasing shadows. A ferocious right-foot scored many a free-kick and nobody got in the way of his penalties. Was a well-respected Reserve team manager before the lure of the North beckoned and he took the family to climb chimneys and dress pigeons in flat caps. Another founder member who put a lot of time into the club. Whilst not renowned for his pace, Pulley was a rock-solid centre-back who switched to centre-forward and had a couple of blinding seasons up front scoring shedloads of goals. A very popular manager too who always tried to be fair to everybody. Pulley's shirt also went 11 seasons without being washed due to lack of mud or sweat.
